IMO the team should stay exactly the way it was tonight, including Roberts on the bench. Barba deserves to keep his starting spot for mine, especially after his defensive efforts tonight.
My side would be the same that ran out tonight

Actually.. I'd swap Idris and Halatau. Halatau's defence and running game were tops tonight but he'd be more effective in the centres IMO. Idris in the forwards was working and shouldn't be changed.

I'd stick to what was there tonight. Hodgo works well as a 2nd rower in the early stages as he carts the ball up and then when the forwards are tired, we have our running second rowers in Halatau and if needed Idris to make havoc, it's a good combination.
As for Roberts, he works well off the bench and when he comes on we can always move Barba to the centres as having both of them on there will make life a misery for the opposition. ![]() |

No changes to the team for mine. The side had a good balance to it and Jamal was a monster in defence. I don't recall him having any issues reading the play and he's much more effective at centre. He was brought into the forwards because we lacked mongrel and linebreaking ability but in the last few weeks he has barely done anything there and now we are equipped in that area with Halatau who can hit hard and make a break. Moore could always give roberts a go at centre and move Idirs into the backrow at some stage but it's not a good idea to change the defensive structure like that.
Too bad we didn't have this team from the start of the season. Pretty sure they said Barba was fine at the end of the broadcast too. |
